Tom and Linda DeMarco's 1954 GMC Long Bed Pickup
It's a 1954 GMC 1/2 ton long bed with
plenty of customizations. Originally we found the truck all broken up on a
farm in Manteca, CA. We would pass it every other weekend as we traveled to
our cabin in the Sierras south of Lake Tahoe. It was a rusty old farm truck
with plenty of dents, plenty of dirt, and we needed plenty of patience. It
took 8 years to complete with plenty of money, time, and elbow grease.
The theme on the truck is "Burn'N Money"
which pretty much explains every car or truck builder experience, namely you
alway have more in them then they are worth. It has a BBC 502 fuelie,
4 wheel disc, automatic, and a pretty cool airbrushing in the bed. Check it
out if you ever see her at a show.
